Aluminium 1050 vs Aluminium 6061 1100 5251 5754 5083

Aluminium 1050 and aluminium 1100 belong to 1000 series aluminium. They are all pure aluminium with similar properties but small difference in alloy composition content. 1000 series aluminum has decorative appearance and anodizing quality. And it’s cheaper than other grades. Aluminium 6061 belongs to 6000 series aluminum. It’s a Al-Si aluminium alloy. Aluminium 6061 has higher hardness. Aluminium 5251, 5754 and 5083 are 5000 series aluminium alloy. That is Al-Mg alloy. Compared to aluminium 1050, 5000 series aluminium alloy has higher strength and high resistance to seawater corrosion.
